For instance, the FLZ is ultra-lightweight, weighing in at 6.35 oz per pole.
In fact, these poles are among the lightest on the market that can still maintain their great weight bearing capacity.

It isn’t uncommon to see ultrarunners brandishing the LEKI brand for their races.
As a brand that focuses on elite athletes, LEKI tends to pay attention to product features in which serious athletes may appreciate more than a novice.

Longer Grip for More Versatility
As mentioned, the Micro Vario Carbon AS’s longer grip isn’t the only thing worth noting on this running pole.
That said, it needs to be stated that a longer grip like the one on this running pole is extremely rare to find on quality poles.
Imagine trekking up the side of a steep hill. Being able to grip the pole lower on the shaft will allow for greater pushing leverage.

Furthermore, the handles are comprised primarily of cork, which makes them incredibly light and comfortable.

Trail running poles are lightweight in general. After all, you’ll be wielding them for miles, and may find yourself holding them not deployed.

What Makes a Trekking Pole Good For Running
